P T E R Y G I U MA PTERYGIUM IS AN ABNORMAL, WEDGE-SHAPED THICKENING OF THE CONJUNCTIVA THAT CAN POTENTIALLY GROW INTO THE CORNEA. AT THE LEAST, A PTERYGIUM CAN BECOME RED AND IRRITATED; IN A WORST CASE SCENARIO, IT CAN AFFECT THE SHAPE OF THE CORNEA CAUSING ASTIGMATISM.
I AM A GRADUATE OF THE RANDOLPH COMMUNITY COLLEGE PHOTOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGY: BIO-COMMUNICATIONS PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM. I AM CURRENTLY PURSUING CAREER IN OPHTHALMIC PHOTOGRAPHY AT CAROLINA EYE ASSOCIATES IN PINEHURST, NC, AS AN ANGIOGRAPHER IN THEIR IMAGING DEPARTMENT.
